These conditions apply to use of the eftpos Gift Cards (Gift Card) issued by Emerchants Payment Solutions Limited ABN 30 131 436 532, AFSL 404131 and distributed by Edge Loyalty Systems Pty Ltd (ELS). Purchasing or using the Gift Card means you accept these conditions. If you let another person use your Gift Card, you must tell them that they will be bound by these conditions.

  1. Conditions vary between gift card programs. Refer to the terms and conditions on the back of your card and on the correspondence you have received for specific information regarding your gift card.
  2. Gift Cards may be used to purchase goods or services at retailers in Australia with "eftpos" facilities who accept the card, when the Gift Card has enough unused value to make the purchase. Some merchants may choose not to accept the Gift Card.
  3. Your Gift Card requires activation prior to use. Activation instructions are provided on the back of the Gift Card. Gift cards must be activated within 3 months of the date of issue. The date of issue is the date the card is issued by ELS not the date the Gift Card is received by the end user.
  4. To activate the Gift Card you must go online to and enter in the card details. Once activated, funds are available by midday of the following business day. The Gift Card is valid for 12 months from the date of activation.. Some clients may operate Gift Card programs with different activation or redemption periods. Please refer to any communication that accompanied the Gift Card.
  5. Gift Cards cannot be redeemed for cash, reloaded, returned for a refund, have their balances consolidated to a new Gift Card, or be replaced after expiry and are not legal tender, account cards, credit or debit cards or securities.
  6. Gift Cards must be kept secure. Anyone holding the Gift Card can use its value to make purchases. If a Gift Card is lost or stolen, or an unauthorized transaction is suspected, immediately report this by calling 1300 079 267. Gift Cards may be able to be blocked, if the card number, original balance and expiry date can be quoted.
  7. ELS may replace a faulty Gift Card. ELS may, at is absolute discretion, replace a damaged, lost or stolen card for a fee. Gift Cards incur a $15 replacement fee Any replacement Gift Card will have the same unused value (at the time of expiry) less any replacement fees and expiry date. Apply by contacting us through our website. The Gift Card number (located on the back of the Gift Card) must be quoted. Gift Cards will be void if they are defaced, mutilated, altered or tampered with in any way. We may subject Gift Cards to verification and security checks at our absolute discretion.
  8. ELS is not liable for the availability, quality or fitness for purpose of any goods or services purchased with the Gift Card. Any dispute about goods or services purchased with the Gift Card must be resolved with the supplier. To the extent permitted by the law, ELS’ liability is limited to replacing faulty Gift Cards.
  9. If you think there has been an incorrectly processed transaction on your gift card please contact the store 1. where the mistake was made. We are unable to reverse any approved transactions.

  11. ELS may cancel any Gift Card, or the Gift Card scheme, for any reason at any time without notice. If so ELS may either provide a refund or a replacement Gift Card of equivalent value unless ELS reasonably suspects fraud in relation to a Gift Card. The Gift Card remains the property of ELS.
